Catherine has over nine (9) years of experience with the Visiting Nurses Association of Central New Jersey. As the VNS In-take Coordinator, she provided extensive counseling to patients, families, and physicians to promote continuity of care to home care. As the Senior Discharge Planner at the 250 bed Freehold Medical Center, Catherine provided case management, program coordination, patient/family evaluations, cost control, QA/QC and public relations to the hospital staff and patients. She also gave inservice education programs to the hospital staff and oriented them regarding home health care and discharge planning services available to them through her department. Catherine received her RN and BSN in Nursing in 1973. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia. Ms. Race is a Independent Licensed Accident and Health Insurance Adjustor in the states of Florida, New York, North Carolina and Oregon. Catherine is also a Medical Coding Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
