Mr. Koenig received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University in 2000, and his Juris Doctorate and Masters in Business Administration from The University of Baltimore in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Koenig served as Vice President for the Intellectual Property Law Society, worked as a Research Assistant for Antitrust faculty, and received the Highest Grade Award in Mass Communications & Intellectual Property. Prior to entering law school, Mr. Koenig interned at the Howard County Public Defenders Office and in the Office of Senator Paul S. Sarbanes. Prior to joining HHC Group, Mr. Koenig served as the Director of Intellectual Property & Agreement Management at The University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute. In his capacity at UMBI, Mr. Koenig worked to protect and commercialize UMBI’s intellectual property portfolio, as well as secure research partnerships and funding from outside organizations. Mr. Koenig serves as the Editor-in-Chief of HHC Group’s Newsletter and brings his transactional and legal research and writing experiences to his position as HHC Group’s General Counsel. Mr. Koenig is admitted to the bar of the State of Maryland.
